Programs within the Children & Youth Ministry

Kids For Christ

The Kids for Christ program is for K-5th graders. It meets on Sundays and covers Children’s Sunday School and Children’s Church. Children's Sunday School begins at 9am. At 10 am, the children are served a snack. This is followed by Children's Church that begins at 10:30 am.

In the Kids for Christ program, children learn fun songs, Bible stories, Bible verses and to make arts & crafts.

All teachers are screened and background checked.

G.L.U.E (God's Love Uniting Everyone) Youth Program

At Deltona Presbyterian Church, we do not believe youth are the future of the church, we insist they are a vital part of the church today! The G.L.U.E. Youth Program is for youth in grades 6-12.

G.L.U.E meets on:

  • Wednesday evenings from 7 - 8:30 pm
  • Sundays from 12:15 pm - 1:30 pm.

Youth are invited to participate in G.L.U.E. to grow in their relationship with God and others. With trusted leaders/teachers, youth are empowered to explore their faith and ask the questions they actually wonder about the Bible, Jesus, other beliefs, and hot topics. G.L.U.E. seeks to help young people apply their faith to their lives and know that God's Love Unites Everyone.

Youth "Walk with God" Projects

The Youth are the bedrock of Deltona Presbyterian Church. As the GLUE Youth grow in their faith, they are encouraged to seek the friendships of the Church community. The hope is that the Deltona Presbyterian Church’s community of faith would influence the Youth in profound ways.

GLUE Youth "Walk with God" Projects are Youth chosen and of benefit to the Church community.

In 2015, the GLUE Youth "Walk with God" Community Project was the monthly cleaning of a local park that services the community surrounding Deltona Presbyterian Church.

G.L.U.E. Youth Mission Work

The GLUE Youth Program participates in local, community based, servant events. GLUE Youth learn that serving others can make a difference because of God’s love and Jesus Christ. The servant events encourage the development of personal and social awareness. The chosen Local Missions are filled with Hope, Grace, Mercy and Christian love.

GLUE Youth Mission Work equip the Youth to grow in their faith through serving, sharing God’s love and developing relationships. Currently, the GLUE Youth Program’s mission is Homelessness.

  • GLUE Youth make "Blessing" bags to pass out to the homeless. A "Blessing" bag is filled with soap, toothpaste, tooth brush, dental floss, comb, and a note about God’s Grace.
  • GLUE Youth assist in serving dinner at the community’s local mission.

The upcoming GLUE Youth Mission will be a clean water initiative inspired by the events of Flint, Michigan.

Kid's Camps

The Children and Youth Ministry hosts five annual Kid’s Camps open to children within the community of Deltona. The Kid’s Camps will be held on Saturdays spread throughout the year.
